"Turkish Wedding Turns Tragic: Groom Killed by Celebratory Gunfire" | AS Your Voice |

“A wedding celebration in Turkey turns tragic after celebratory gunfire claims the groom’s life.”

A joyful wedding in northern Turkey turned into heartbreaking tragedy when celebratory gunfire claimed the life of a 23-year-old groom.

According to Turkish media, the groom, Ali, was returning home with his bride after the wedding ceremony when he was struck by a stray bullet. Reports suggest that the gunfire came from a female relative of the bride. Police acted swiftly, taking the 47-year-old woman into custody.

Authorities also recovered two illegal pistols from her home, and a full investigation into the incident has been launched.

Sadly, this is not an isolated incident. Just last week, a similar case in Turkey’s Trabzon province resulted in one death and two injuries due to celebratory firing before a wedding event.
